The Michelin® Pilot® Sport PS2® is Y-rated for speeds up to 186 MPH. It has a UTQG tread wear rating of 220 compared to the factory tire rating of 300. This rating, generally speaking, means that the Michelin® Pilot® Sport PS2® has a softer rubber tread compound that is "stickier" to provide greater traction. A "stickier" tire not only improves cornering, but braking performance as well!
A quieter ride than with the factory tires is possible because the Michelin® Pilot® Sport PS2® has an acoustically tuned, asymmetric tread pattern. The Michelin® Pilot® Sport PS2® gives superior handling in wet or dry conditions with highly specialized dual side-by-side tread compounds. The outer tread is engineered for maximum grip while the inner provides maximum handling in wet conditions. With a new set of Michelin® Pilot® Sport PS2® tires you can expect crisp steering response and amazing cornering ability in wet or dry conditions. Though the Michelin® Pilot® Sport PS2® tires are excellent in wet or dry conditions, they are not intended to be driven on snow or ice.
