The mast section of the antenna consists of four round chrome sections, three telescoping sections, and one fixed section, with an approximately 1/4" ball-shaped tip at the end of the mast. The overall height in a lowered position from the bottom of the black plastic body gasketto the top of the ball is approximately 15".
